Genesis 11:7-9

⁷ Come, ^(A)let Us go down and there ^(B)confuse their ^[a]language, so that they will not understand one another’s ^[b]speech.” ⁸ So the Lord ^(C)scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. ⁹ Therefore its name was called ^[c](D)Babel, because there the Lord confused the ^[d]language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.
